Selangor Sultan to undergo open heart surgery

SHAH ALAM: The Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah is scheduled to undergo open heart surgery at the Stanford University Medical Centre in Palo Alto, California.
The surgery would involve either the repair of a heart valve repair or a replacement for “mitral regurgitation,” depending on what the medical team decides when they begin the procedure.
Selangor State Secretary Datuk Ramli Mahmud said the valve surgery would be done under general anesthesia and would last for about five to six hours.
Mitral valve regurgitation surgery is recommended when a person’s ejection fraction -- a measurement of the heart’s efficiency -- drops below 60% and/ or the left ventricle is larger than 40mm at rest.
The ejection fraction can be used to estimate the function of the left ventricle, which pumps blood to the rest of the body.
Ramli said Sultan Sharafuddin, 63, will undergo the operation on Saturday. It would be carried out by two eminent medical professionals, Professor Dr Alan Yeung and Professor Dr Craig Miller.
Whether the surgery would involve repair or replacement would be the medical team’s call and would depend on the type of damage to the mitral valve, Ramli said.
Repair is more successful if there is limited damage to certain areas of the mitral valve flaps or to the tough fibres that control movement of the mitral valve leaflets. But replacement is usually preferred for people who have a hard, calcified mitral valve ring or widespread damage to the valve and surrounding tissue.
On Wednesday, Sultan Sharafuddin left for California from Singapore accompanied by his younger brother Tengku Indera Setia Selangor Tengku Ahmad Shah, Sime Darby Medical Centre Subang Jaya specialist doctor Datuk Dr Anuar Masduki, Datuk Pengelola Bijaya Diraja Selangor Datuk Zakaria Abd Rahman and Tan Sri Datuk Seri Syed Mohd Yusof Tun Syed Nasir, a Member of the Selangor Royal Assembly.
Private Secretary to the Sultan Datuk Mohamad Munir Bani said Sultan Sharafuddin has called upon Selangorians not to worry about his medical condition but to put it in prayer.
Ramli asked all places of worships to hold special prayers for Sultan Sharafuddin for a speedy recovery during his three-week recuperation period at the Stanford University Medical Centre.

I am feeling so sad when I read about this news. I hope everything will go well and my prayers goes to him at all times.
Sedih apabila mendapat tahu tentang keadaan Tuanku Sultan Selangor, semoga segalanya akan berjalan lancar dan saya akan mendoakan agar Tuanku akan cepat sembuh kerana ianya sangat bermakna.

HANDPHONES

I own one of these IPhone. Very convenient can actually download many things but the only setback is that you can't actually forward your smses. Talking about handphones I was one of the first few that used handphone when its first came out. My uncle until today kept mentioning it saying that 'Oh you are the first one who carries hadphone during those days" and he was proud of it!! hehehe...I remember having the bulky type of Motorola and its really heavy, before that we use to have this things call Pager, where people have to paged for you and get you to return call. The pager that I have was actually a Birthday present given by my good friend Mr Simon Lim at that time. I was so excited and he even include a special number for which end with 0388 which means "luck" in chinese I think... Then later when they started to introduce handphones and I actually paid S$2000 in those days by cash, well I didn't earned that much during those time but my ex-boyfriend was the one who bought it for me. And I remember while I was in a train I met one of my ex school mates Marini so while talking to her my cellphone actually rang and as I was digging my handbag to look for the handphone I could see the expression on her, she was staring at me and she was so surprised after knwoing that I actually owned a handphone. As in those days it was too expensive and no one can actually afford it except for businessman. Few days later one my the other friend called, telling me that Marini told her about seeing me carrying a handphone and she actually accused me of being a kept woman just because I owned a handphone isn't it crazy.!!

Now you can easily see almost anyone own a handphone some even have a few with different numbers it's so common now..

THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY

There's a saying good people will end up with good people and bad people will end up with bad people...Its the same goes like bad people always seems to be getting all the bad influence while good people will always be getting the good one. It's all connected .... came from the heart on how sincere & genuine you are and how you want your life to be. Must remember God will always protect good people no matter what race or religion you came from as long as you do it with sincerity god will definitely be there for you. But if you do so many bad things towards people around you, you will definitely receive a retribution some day.

Orang yang baik selalu berpasangan dengan yang baik begitu juga dengan orang yang jahat akan berpasangan dengan yang jahat. Dalam al quran juga ada menyebut, sekiranya kita berlaku juju dan ikhlas serta baik budi perkerti insyaallah Allah SWT akan senantiasa menyelamatakn perjalanan hidup kita walaupun kadang kala kita harus menempuh pelbagai dugaan dalam akhir perjalanan sudah tentu punya kebaikannya. Dalam hidup kita kita yang harus menentukan perjalanan mana yang harus kita tuju yang baik atau yang tak baik kerana segala langkah yang kita buat akan menentukan nasib kita seterusnya. Kita juga harus berhati hati memilih kawan kerana manusia yang dijadikan oleh Allah SWT punya banyak jenis ada yang boleh menolong kita menjurus kepada kebaikan ada juga yang boleh menjuruskan kita ke jalan yang jauh tersesat dari itu kita harus bijak untuk membuat keputusan dan jangan lekas terpengaruh.

Choosing a Leader

Kalau kita melihat apa yang yang terjadi didunia ini sudah pasti ia sangat membimbangkan. Ramai yang ingin menjadi "Leader" but not sure whether they are capable. They seems to know how to talk & convince people but that doesn't mean they can really deliver. They making use of one another just to achieved they own agenda. Yang sedih nya rakyat yang akan menanggung segala beban sekiranya tidak berhati hati memilih kerajaan, kita harus berfikiran lebih luas kerana ianya hanya bukan untuk generasi dahulu atau sekarang ianya juga untuk generasi akan datang. Because we have to make sure that our rights are well protected. Hanya kerana berlainan pendapat dan ego ada yang sanggup bergaduh dan bermusuhan sesama sendiri ia sangat memalukan. Mungkin ramai orang melayu yang masih tidak sedar mereka masih lemah dalam segala hal dan mungkin mereka belum rasa erti kesusahan atau berada didalam jajahan lebih lebih lagi kaum remaja they are very fast to get influenced by those unresponsible people thats very sad. Nowadays the young generation feel they are smarter but the fact that they still need to learned on the truth about Real Life..

Kita tak mahu menjadi seperti negara lain yang umumnya mereka sudah dijajah and sekiranya nasi sudah menjadi bubur tidak guna lagi kita menyesal walau dengan airmata darah sekali pun.

Kaum melayu didunia ini tidak ramai and kita tidak boleh compare with bangsa lain yang sudah mencecah berbillion sekiranya berpecah ia akan menghanyutkan semua.

WAITING FOR THAT SPECIAL SOMEONE

Everyone was wondering how come until today i am not married as I am reaching mid thirties, I have a reason why. I am actually waiting for that particular someone for many years now although I haven't really got the chance to date him out because of some reasons but I am sure he knows that I am waiting for him.. But for now I pray that we would be together one day. I know what stopping him at the moment but I hope he who is a leader would not just listen to any rumours or gossips before finding out the truth. I was upset because when i got to know him he was with someone and I was actually quite closed to his good friend at that time. Its all so complicated and honestly if i had known what future would be I would have avoid certain things. But he remains available and so am I, although rumours spreading that he has been seeing a lady but that will not stop me from hoping till someday when god says he is not meant to be mine I then stop hoping. Still I too has been going out with male friends but deep in my heart i have always wanted to be with this man. Because I think I have that quality to share my life with him. He came into my dream many times for the past years and most of the dream it's just like a story it is not that I think of him all the time that is why i feel my soul is so close to him.

I want to be the perfect wife for him something that most man would not have experience before that is why I keep all this qualities to the one that really deserves. Anyway as i said we plan but only god knows what is best. Amin...
